Since purchasing the property we have so many more financial compliances to make here at Greyhound Gap! Not only do we have to continue to satisfy the Charities Commission that we are compliant, deal with HMRC, keep on top of VAT returns, produce our accounts to upload publically to the Charities Commission so everyone in the world can see where the money goes BUT we also have to satisfy the bank that we are viable for the loan, and continue to be!  Its a pretty mammoth task - not to mention the many day to day accounting processes, payments and receipts.   We decided we needed an adulter adult *grin*

Last year Kay Cusworth joined us as a Trustee and 'Treasurer 2' to support Sam Burns.   Kay has worked all her life in finance and been the main accountant for lots of big companies;  it has been decided that she is best placed moving forward to oversea the actual main financial controls of the charity. To that end Kay has now taken on the role of Treasurer of Greyhound Gap.  Everything else will stay the same including email addresses and where donations etc are processed but we just wanted to make you all aware that if you had any specific financial questions then she is the person you need to contact.

We can not thank Kay enough! Kay is organised, efficient and a bit of a fire breathing dragon at times *another big grin* so everyone can rest assured that's she has got this and us!! Huge thanks to Sam for acting as Treasurer the last 18 months and helping Kay get us all organised with new procedures.

Kay lives in Yorkshire and has 2 Gap dogs Wren and Nico.  She probably now wishes she had gone elsewhere for a dog - ha ha ha!
