14-06-2008 - Greyhound Gaps very important Bear reaches 10 Downing Street!

As some of you will know and some wont Greyhound Gap has its very own fundraising bear Scarlett. Sadly last year we lost a very dear friend Laney to cancer, Laney adopted and loved two of our wonderful hounds Chloe and Roo. Scarlett Bear started to travel and stay with people interested in spending a week with her at the cost of £5 per stay donation to Gap and has had many adventures to raise funds in memory of Elaine and to continue allowing her to help the hounds she loved so much.

She is also doubling as part of a school project aswell for a lovely and very wonderful little girl called Lucy who's Mum Heidi was best friends with Elaine.

This week Heidis MIL visited 10 Downing Street and Scarlett had her own papers and got to go along and have dinner with the Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Heidi's MIL also gave him some Gap leaflets to go away and read and hand out. Maybe we can hope beyond hopes he visits the website and has a re think on the racing industry huh?
