Who we are
Founder and Trustee:
As well as her own dogs Lisa usually has a foster hound or two... and also gives a home to those hounds that are a bit of a challenge! Lisa spends the vast majority of her time at the kennels, dealing with homing, sourcing opportunities, managing the day to day running of the organisation as well as a whole host of many other tasks.
Board of Trustees:
Sam shares her sofa with her greyhounds. Sam is the charity's treasurer and carries out our promotional work.
RoseMarie has three lurchers living with her in Hampshire. RoseMarie is our rehoming coordinator and is the first port of call for enquiries about our dogs. Rosemarie also looks after our foster homes.
Ali shares her Cornish home with her two lurchers. Ali looks after the website, our merchandise, and deals with our general and volunteering enquiries.
Julia looks after our fundraising, she is a whizz at coming up with original, creative and fun ideas to raise much needed funds - a never ending task!
Tania shares her life with 2 Labradors and a Jack Russell, she is our deputy treasurer, aiding and supporting Sam with the charity's finances. As a finance director of a electrical contracting company she is well suited to the role!
Mary's background is in business and project management in large, small, private, public and charity companies. Her experience contributes to the smooth running and longterm sustainable future of the charity.
Jeremy is an Engineer with international and UK project and contract management experience, his skills support the development of the charity.
We have a group of willing volunteers who help moderate our active forum. As it turns out, Gappers are such a friendly bunch the forum needs very little moderation but the mods do a grand job in keeping things ticking over.
We have small band of fantastic and talented people who make collars for Greyhound Gap. The collars are a wonderful way of raising funds and are all handmade to the highest standards. We hold occasional collar auctions on the forum, sell them at our biannual shows and on our fundraising stalls at various events.
We have an absolutely amazing group of people who turn out in all weathers to attend meets and greets, fundraising events, transport needy hounds, walk the kennel dogs and offer themselves as fosterers. We' would be stuck without them. If you think you would like to volunteer please see the Ways to Help section of the website.
