Our stunning Bert is now ready to find his forever sofa. Bert is a 3 year old lurcher boy who came into our care with Ernie. Both were handed to drinkers outside a pub by a man in a van. Having now served their time with the dog warden they have both been relinquished into Greyhound Gap's care.

Bert is around 3 years of age and a really sweet boy, he is a heady mix of both fun and calm. He gets on really well with Ernie but is quite worried by other male dogs. However he is great with steady females. Berts ideal home would be with a female sighthound, he is not cat friendly but can be rehomed with dog savvy children 6 years and upwards. He needs a home willing to work with us to settle him indoors and get him use to being left. Although Bert has never lived inside he is clean in his kennel so we do not envisage housetraining being a problem. We do feel Bert could be rehomed as an only dog if someone were at home most of the time in the beginning to work with us to help him settle. Out on lead walks Bert was strong in the beginning but is now learning to settle and walk much better. He ignores other dogs when out and about. Bert really is a sweet little dog and is so loving and calm. He seems to have settled so well here and is very grateful for all the comfort, good food and treats. He absolutely loves his bed in his kennel and spends a lot of his time just relaxing.

If an experienced home could be found willing to take Bert and Ernie as a bonded pair we would also be willing to consider this as they do get on so well together.

Bert is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, neutered and has received a dental. Bert is currently located in Stoke on Trent and any family wishing to be considered to offer him a home must be willing to travel with all members of the immediate family and any existing dogs to meet with him.
