Well what can we say about Bones? This 4 year old boy is amazing but he isn't your average Greyhound! Bones landed with us after being retired from racing. He was struggling in a racing kennels environment and was labelled as disruptive. Sadly Bones is quite a needy boy, albeit it loving, intelligent but also very busy. He can be quite insecure.

Bones needs an active home with someone around all or most of the time. He is far from 'lazy' Bones! We do feel he would be best placed with a female Greyhound so that he has another dog of his breed to also bond with. When Bones first landed he was exceptionally vocal but this has settled now and he has learnt to relax in his kennel and understand that things can not be going on all the time. He would love a family with dog savvy children 6 years and upwards where he can enjoy long walks and outings and be included in pretty much all that is going on.

Bones loves to love! That's what he does best but any new home would need to work with us and understand that to begin with he would need to be backed off from. A safe space established with boundaries and an area he is able to relax. We do not want Bones to develop separation anxiety which is something we could see could happen in a home that indulged him. Although Bones is kennelled he works hard to keep his space clean, he toilets when let out so we do not envisage housetraining being an issue. Out on lead he is quite strong to begin with but settles to walk lovely once he relaxes into it. This boy has so much to offer and we know that with a little time and work he will turn into the most cheeky, amazing, curious. clever biddable dog. Bones will most definitely love you like no other. When he spends time with us in our home from home room he loves nothing more than to relax on the sofa with you curling his head into your lap!

Bones is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped and has received a dental. Bones is currently located in Stoke on Trent and it would be necessary for all members of the immediate family and any current resident dogs to be willing to travel to meet him.
