Please be aware that Greyhound Gap are based in Staffordshire and in normal circumstances do home throughout the UK. However, due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, there may be some instances where it will not be possible to arrange suitable home visits. We will, of course, try to be as flexible possible but there may be some areas we just cannot currently cover. All potential adopters will be expected to travel to our kennels to undertake our interview process in order to enable us to go through our adoption matching process.
Connie is a 9 year old Greyhound girl who has sadly recently found herself back in our care due to a change in circumstances. Since landing back into our care Connie has been in a foster home with both a male and a female Greyhound and gets on with them well. Unfortunately Connie's foster Mum is now unwell herself and her foster Dad has returned to work so we need to start looking for a new suitable home a little quicker than expected.
Connie is the most wonderful, quizzical and sweet natured girl but she does need quite a special home. Sadly in some situations Connie can become quite anxious and even with the company of other Greyhounds does not currently like being left for long periods of time. At night she sleeps downstairs happily with the other dogs but during the day can be a little squeaky and likes to know where you are.
Connie needs a home with other dogs and we will not rehome her as an only dog, preferably a small to medium sized sighthound pack in numbers and an experienced owner who is at home all or most of the time with the ability to continue to work with her insecurities. Out on walks she is fabulous and is good with other dogs she ignores them in the main, she is however not cat or small furry friendly. Connie travels well and loves being out and about and has lived with children so would be fine to co exist with children 6 years and upwards.
Connie really is the most stunningly beautiful girl and its so sad that she has found herself back needing a new home at her age. We just hope that someone finds it in their heart to offer her the forever home she so desperately deserves. Connie is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, spayed and has received a full dental since landing back into our care.
