Dirk is a beautiful 3 year old greyhound boy who recently joined us from a stray pound. This wonderful boy is quite sweet but also a little nervous at times.

Out and about on lead Dirk can be quite a strong boy to begin with and it takes him a little while to settle down. We do feel though that this is due to his nervous edge and the fact he is still learning to settle and understand the world around him.  Dirk has been fabulous with all the other Greyhounds here at the kennels and we feel that he would love a larger female companion preferably a female hound. If Dirk were to be rehomed as an only dog we do feel people would need to be around most of the time to allow us to work with them to help him gain his confidence.  Dirk is not cat friendly and can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards. He travels like a dream and although he is kenneled he works hard to keep his kennel area clean. He toilets as soon as allowed out to relieve or on walks so we do not envisage housetraining would be an issue. As an ex racer Dirk does need more gentle supervision around other breeds. Currently he does not understand them.

Dirk is vaccinatated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, castrated and has received a dental. For a 3 year old boy this poor lads teeth were really quite nasty and he does need a second dental that will be done before he is rehomed. Dirk is currently located in Stoke on Trent and it will be necessary for all members of the immediate family including any resident dogs to be willing to travel to meet with him.
