Please be aware that Greyhound Gap are based in Staffordshire and in normal circumstances do home throughout the UK.   However, due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, there may be some instances where it will not be possible to arrange suitable home visits.  We will, of course, try to be as flexible possible but there may be some areas we just cannot currently cover. All potential adopters will be expected to travel to our kennels to undertake our interview process in order to enable us to go through our adoption matching process.

Haylor is a stunning 4 year old Greyhound boy who recently landed into our care. This lad is absolutely personality plus but does need either a strong or experienced owner.

Haylor is great fun and such a happy boy, he does however love his playbows and bouncing and silly spins. He just loves attention! Out on walks when he landed he was extremely strong but after just one week out and about exploring already seems to be settling down. He has seen children running about and screeching on the fields and there was no lunging and pulling he just stopped looked curious and stood and watched their antics. Haylor is not small furry or cat friendly and as an ex racer who has seen very little of the world he will need to be watched around other breeds of dogs. Lots of calm walks and gentle socialisation from a distance will be needed whilst he learns about the outside world, other breeds and all it entails.

Although Haylor is with us in the kennels he is spotlessly clean and waits till he is turned out to toilet. He also travels like a dream. We feel Haylor would be suitable to be rehomed with other Greyhounds or as an only dog into an environment where someone was around all or most of the time in the beginning to work with us to get him use to being in a home and all it entails. Haylor will be suitable to live with dog savy children aged 8 years and upwards. As Haylor came to us from another rescue he was already vaccinated and castrated but he will also be kennel cough vaccinated and his teeth will be checked to ensure he does not need a dental before rehoming. He has been wormed, deflead and is microchipped. Haylor will also be rehomed with one months insurance via Petplan.
