Please note we are located in Stoke on Trent in Staffordshire and any family wishing to rehome from ourselves must be willing to travel to undertake a rehoming interview with ourselves before a decision is made on a dog and suitability. This will also be followed up with a visit to your home.

Lucy is the most wonderful and extremely sweet 3 year old Greyhound girl.

Unfortunately Lucy does have quite a rare condition that on a day to day level does not affect but it does mean she needs rehoming locally to us here in Stoke on Trent. An auto immune condition means that she needs her teeth brushing each day thoroughly or she develops multiple sores in the back of her mouth and the side of her gums. Our own vet is an orthodontist and at some point if the condition can not be managed she may need some or over time all of her teeth removing. This is a cost that we will of course remain responsible for. Lucy needs to have her teeth and mouth checked monthly. Do not though let that put you off! You would not know that it was even happening and had it not been our vets most vets may have actually missed it. It does not affect her in any way and she is still playful, vibrant and full of life and mischief and loves enrichment, toys and her food most especially.

Out on walks Lucy is very well behaved she is not though suitable to co exist with small furries or cats. She can be rehomed with dog savy children 8 years and upwards and we feel would happily settle as an only dog or co exist with a calm laid back male Greyhound. The trainer did state though that she did not like to be disturbed when eating or if she did manage to steal things so due care would need to be taken. We have absolutely seen no evidence of that here though. It may have been until her mouth was dealt with that it was slightly sore and that is why she may have been more guarded.

Lucy travels absolutely fine and is clean in her kennel so housetraining should not be an issue. Lucy is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, spayed and has received a dental. If you think you could offer this amazing girl her special home close to us as a charity so we can continue to support her ongoing dental hygiene checks or any necessary work please in the first instance complete the questionnaire below
