Please be aware that Greyhound Gap are based in Staffordshire and in normal circumstances do home throughout the UK.   However, due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, there may be some instances where it will not be possible to arrange suitable home visits.  We will, of course, try to be as flexible possible but there may be some areas we just cannot currently cover. All potential adopters will be expected to travel to our kennels to undertake our interview process in order to enable us to go through our adoption matching process.

Roe is an absolutely stunning 5 year old male Greyhound. This boy landed with us recently and has stolen everyones hearts. Although a big lad who will require a strong or experienced owner he also has the most gentle vulnerable side to him too!

Roe is not small furry or cat safe and can be rehomed with dog savy children 6 years and upwards. Out and about on lead he walks relatively well. He was quite over animated out on walks when he first came into our care but the more walks he has out in the surrounding Countryside the more he calms and settles into it and his pulling is lessoning all the time. Being an ex racer Roe is not use to other breeds of dogs so will need continued gentle socialisation from a distance with other breeds to help him understand them and the world and all it entails.

Although Roe is with us here in kennels this beautiful boy is spotlessly clean and waits till he is turned out to toilet. We feel Roe could easily live alongside other Greyhounds or would settle as an only dog with people around all or most of the time in the beginning willing to work alongside us to introduce him to homelife and all it entails. Roe travels like a dream. As Roe came to us from another rescue he was already vaccinated and castrated but he will also shortly be kennel cough vaccinated and receive a vet check to ensure he does not need a dental before rehoming. Roe is de flead, de wormed, microchipped and will be rehomed with one months free insurance via Petplan
