Please be aware that Greyhound Gap are based in Staffordshire and in normal circumstances do home throughout the UK.   However, due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, there may be some instances where it will not be possible to arrange suitable home visits.  We will, of course, try to be as flexible possible but there may be some areas we just cannot currently cover. All potential adopters will be expected to travel to our kennels to undertake our interview process in order to enable us to go through our adoption matching process.

The post that gives me the greatest pleasure, our work here is done! My mischievous 5 year old foster boy Sheldon is now ready to find his new home.

Please don't be mistaken by Sheldon's age! He is far from a wallflower! He is absolutely full of life and vitality and whoever gets him will be so lucky. He is such a cheeky funny boy. Sheldon would love a home with other Greyhounds but could also learn to co exist with a female dog medium sized and upwards. He has been fine with Thelma a medium sized crossbreed since the day he arrived and just kind of waltzed in and did the yes that is just a dog. He is though however not cat or small furry safe.

Sheldon has taken to living in a home like a duck to water, but he is not a lazy boy he likes to be active and absolutely loves his walks. He is now in the main fully housetrained and he absolutely loves his crate to sleep in at night and choses to put himself to bed so if someone was willing to let him have one in the beginning that would be an added bonus.

Sheldon will be fine to live with dog savy children 10 years and upwards. I wouldn't like to rehome him with children younger as occasionally when he gets excited he can give you a bit of a cheeky bum nip and we would hate for young children to be frightened of him. Sheldon walks relatively well on the lead but does still need some desensitisation around smaller breeds out and about on walks. He travels like a dream and is just an all round wonderful hound. Someone really will be so lucky to have this boy as he is an absolute clown and a laugh a minute but has a heart of pure gold alongside it and is so loving.

Sheldon is vaccinated, kc vaccinated, de flead, de wormed, microchipped, neutered and has received a dental. He will also be rehomed with one months free insurance from Petplan. If you are interested in offering Sheldon a home please in the first instance complete the pre adoption questionnaire below:
